The Sunday Age and Sydney Morning Herald, January 1st 2012, herald in the New Year by featuring ‘A Guerra da Beatriz’, a new film for a new year. In the Extra section you can check out the lead story “Of Love and War” by Natalie Craig, a journalist who spent a week on set during the filming of East Timor’s first feature film.

First Stage of Filming on “A Guerra da Beatriz” Completed

The first stage of filming for “A Guerra da Beatriz” was completed in mid-December. FairTrade Films and Dili Film Works are now raising funds for the second stage of filming that will start in March 2012. In the gallery are some images from the four weeks of shooting that took place in Ulmera, a coastal village outside Dili, and in the mountain sub-district of Maubisse.
